Ingredients

For the Linguine:

  • 8 oz linguine pasta
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon red chili flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 8 oz fresh crab meat (or high-quality canned crab)
  • Zest and juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

. Cook the Linguine

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  • Cook the linguine until al dente, following package instructions.
  • Reserve ¼ cup pasta water, then drain and set aside.

2. Prepare the Sauce

  • While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add garlic and red chili flakes, sautéing for 30 seconds until fragrant.

3. Add Crab & Lemon

  • Stir in the crab meat, lemon zest, and lemon juice, cooking briefly until warmed through.
  • Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

4. Combine with Pasta

  • Add the cooked linguine to the skillet, tossing to coat evenly in the sauce.
  • If the mixture seems dry, add a splash of reserved pasta water to reach desired consistency.

5. Serve & Garnish

  • Remove from heat and sprinkle with chopped parsley.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • Spicy Kick: Adjust red chili flakes to taste or omit for a milder dish.
  • Protein Variations: Swap crab with shrimp or scallops for a different seafood twist.
  • Creamy Option: Stir in a splash of heavy cream for a richer sauce.
  • Wine Infusion: Deglaze the pan with white wine before adding crab for added depth.
  • Gluten-Free Alternative: Use gluten-free linguine for a GF version.
