Puff Pastry Pizza Twists are a delicious and fun take on pizza, made with flaky puff pastry, cheese, sauce, and your favorite toppings twisted into bite-sized snacks. Perfect for parties, snacks, or game day treats.

Ingredients

  • 2 puff pastry sheets (thawed if frozen)
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Optional: 1/4 cup mini pepperoni, chopped olives, diced bell peppers, or cooked sausage
  • 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface.
  3. Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce over one sheet of puff pastry.
  4. Sprinkle mozzarella, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, and any optional toppings evenly over the sauce.
  5. Top with the second puff pastry sheet and press gently to seal.
  6. Slice the layered pastry into 1-inch wide strips using a sharp knife or pizza cutter.
  7. Twist each strip several times and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Brush the tops with the egg wash.
  9. Bake for 15–18 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
  10. Let cool slightly before serving with extra pizza sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • Don’t overload with sauce or toppings to avoid soggy pastry.
  • Twist tightly and press the ends down to prevent unraveling.
  • Serve with marinara, ranch, or garlic butter for dipping.
  • Great for prepping ahead—assemble and refrigerate before baking.
