A fragrant homemade poultry seasoning blend made with dried herbs and spices, perfect for enhancing chicken, turkey, stuffing, soups, and vegetables.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons dried sage
  • 1 tablespoon dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon dried marjoram
  • 2 teaspoons dried rosemary (crushed)
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Measure all the dried herbs and spices into a small bowl.
  2. If the rosemary leaves are large, crush them gently with your fingers or grind them slightly for a finer texture.
  3. Stir everything together until evenly combined.
  4. For a finer blend, pulse the mixture briefly in a spice grinder.
  5. Transfer the seasoning to an airtight jar or spice container.

Notes

  • This blend does not contain salt; add salt separately to taste if desired.
  • Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place away from sunlight.
  • For best flavor, use within 6 months.
  • Use about 1 teaspoon per pound of meat as a general guideline.
  • Grinding the herbs creates a smoother texture and more even flavor distribution.
