  • 1 packet taco seasoning mix
  • 8 oz egg noodles, cooked and drained
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Cook the Beef and Onion

    • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and chopped onion until browned and softened (about 5-7 minutes). Drain excess fat.
  • Add Seasoning and Soup

    • Stir in the taco seasoning mix and cream of mushroom soup. Mix well and let cook for 2-3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Combine with Noodles

    • Add the cooked egg noodles to the beef mixture. Stir in the sour cream and mix until well combined.
  • Assemble the Casserole

    • Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
  • Bake

    • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake uncovered for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Serve

    • Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy this warm, cheesy, and hearty dish!

Notes

  • Make it spicier by adding diced jalapeños, hot sauce, or a spicy taco seasoning blend.
  • Use different cheese like mozzarella, Monterey Jack, or pepper jack for a flavor twist.
  • Add veggies such as corn, peas, or bell peppers for extra texture and nutrition.
