Ingredients

12 large white mushrooms, stems removed

1/2 cup marinara sauce

1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup mini pepperoni slices

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon dried oregano

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  • Clean the mushroom caps with a damp cloth and remove the stems. Set the caps aside.

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, pepperoni slices, garlic powder, and dried oregano. Stir until the ingredients are well combined.

  • Spoon the mixture into the mushroom caps, filling them generously.

  • Place the stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  • Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Vegetarian Option: Replace the pepperoni with vegetables like bell peppers, onions, or olives.

  • Spicy Kick: Add crushed red pepper flakes to the filling for extra heat.

  • Storage/Reheating: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes or microwave for 1-2 minutes.

  • Freezing: You can freeze stuffed mushrooms before baking. Bake from frozen, adding extra time to the cook.
