Peanut butter pie is a rich, creamy no-bake dessert featuring a smooth peanut butter and cream cheese filling in a buttery cookie crust. Perfect for make-ahead entertaining, it’s easy to prepare and always a crowd favorite.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 8 oz whipped topping (like Cool Whip) or homemade whipped cream
  • 1 pre-made graham cracker or chocolate cookie crust (9-inch)
  • Optional toppings: chocolate sauce, chopped peanuts, mini peanut butter cups

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and peanut butter together until smooth and creamy.
  2. Gradually add the powdered sugar and mix until fully incorporated.
  3. Fold in the whipped topping gently until light and fluffy.
  4. Spoon the mixture into the prepared crust, spreading it evenly.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until set.
  6. Before serving, top with chocolate sauce, chopped peanuts, or mini peanut butter cups if desired.
  7. Slice and serve chilled.

Notes

  • For a richer taste, use a chocolate cookie crust or add a layer of melted chocolate at the bottom.
  • Homemade whipped cream works well—just whip to stiff peaks.
  • Chill thoroughly to ensure a firm, sliceable filling.
  • This pie can be served frozen for an ice cream-like treat.
  • Use natural peanut butter with caution—it may alter the texture.
