This Peanut Butter Mousse is a creamy, fluffy dessert made without cream cheese. With just a few ingredients like peanut butter, heavy cream, and powdered sugar, it’s an indulgent treat that’s easy to make and perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  1. 1 cup creamy peanut butter (smooth)
    1 1/2 cups heavy cream
    1/2 cup powdered sugar
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    1/4 teaspoon salt (optional)

Instructions

Whip the heavy cream: In a large mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream on medium-high speed for 3-4 minutes until stiff peaks form. Set aside.

  1. Combine the peanut butter and powdered sugar: In another bowl, whisk together the peanut butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
  2. Fold in the whipped cream: Gently fold the whipped cream into the peanut butter mixture. Start with a small amount to lighten the mixture, then gently fold in the rest until smooth and fluffy.
  3. Chill the mousse: Spoon the mousse into serving cups or one large bowl. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until chilled and firmed up.
  4. Serve: Garnish with chocolate shavings, crushed peanuts, or chocolate syrup, if desired, and serve.

Notes

  • For a chocolate twist, add 1/4 cup of melted chocolate to the peanut butter mixture.
  • Try adding mini chocolate chips or crushed pretzels for extra texture.
  • For a vegan version, substitute coconut cream for the heavy cream.
