Paleo Air‑Fryer Fish features tender, flaky fish fillets coated in a light, paleo‑friendly seasoning and cooked in the air fryer until perfectly crisp on the outside and juicy inside. It’s a simple, healthy dish that’s rich in protein and ideal for busy weeknights or an easy weekend meal.

Ingredients

  • 4 white fish fillets (cod, tilapia, haddock, or similar)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or avocado oil
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley or dill (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pat fish fillets dry with a paper towel and brush both sides lightly with oil.
  2. In a small bowl, mix lemon zest, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, sea salt, and black pepper.
  3. Sprinkle the seasoning evenly over both sides of the fish.
  4. Preheat air fryer to 380°F (190°C).
  5. Place fillets in a single layer in the air fryer basket without overlapping.
  6. Cook for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through if needed, until the fish flakes easily and edges are golden.
  7. Remove and squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top. Garnish with parsley or dill if desired.

Notes

  • Use thawed, well-dried fish for best results if using frozen.
  • Add cayenne for a spicier version.
  • Serve with cauliflower rice or roasted vegetables for a full paleo meal.
  • A short marinade in lemon juice and herbs is okay, but avoid over-marinating.
