Orange Fluff Salad is a light, sweet, and refreshing dessert salad combining whipped topping, sweetened condensed milk, tangy orange gelatin, and marshmallows. It’s creamy, citrusy, and perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  1. 1 box (3 oz) of orange gelatin (such as Jell-O)
    1 cup of boiling water
    1 cup of cold water
1 can (8 oz) of crushed pineapple, drained
1 cup of whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
1/2 cup of sour cream or plain yogurt
    1/2 cup of mini marshmallows
Optional: 1/4 cup of chopped pecans or walnuts (for added crunch)

Instructions

Dissolve the gelatin: In a large bowl, combine the orange gelatin with 1 cup of boiling water. Stir until the gelatin is completely dissolved. Then add 1 cup of cold water and mix well. Let the mixture cool for about 10 minutes.

  1. Combine other ingredients: Once the gelatin mixture has cooled, fold in the drained crushed pineapple, whipped topping, and sour cream (or yogurt). Stir until all the ingredients are well combined.
  2. Add marshmallows: Gently fold in the mini marshmallows, being careful not to break them apart.
  3. Refrigerate: Cover the bowl and refrigerate the salad for at least 2-3 hours, or overnight. This will allow the flavors to blend together and the texture to firm up.
  4. Serve: Once chilled, stir the salad gently and serve in individual bowls. Optionally, sprinkle with chopped nuts for extra texture and flavor.

Notes

  • You can use sugar-free gelatin for a lower-sugar version, and the flavor and texture will be very similar.
  • For extra texture, try adding chopped fresh fruit like mandarin oranges or bananas.
  • Make it lighter by using reduced-fat whipped topping and light sour cream or yogurt.
