Old Bay Wings are crispy, flavorful chicken wings seasoned with the classic blend of Old Bay spices, garlic, and herbs. Perfectly golden and packed with coastal-inspired flavor, they make an irresistible appetizer or game-day favorite.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken wings (split into flats and drumettes)
  • 1 tbsp Old Bay seasoning (plus more for finishing)
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp lemon juice (optional)
  • Salt to taste (optional)
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or place a wire rack on top.
  2. Pat the chicken wings thoroughly dry with paper towels to remove moisture for maximum crispiness.
  3. In a large bowl, combine baking powder, Old Bay seasoning, garlic powder, olive oil, and toss the wings until evenly coated.
  4. Arrange the wings in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 40–45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the wings are golden brown and crispy.
  6. (Optional) Toss hot wings in melted butter mixed with a bit more Old Bay and lemon juice for added flavor.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately with ranch, blue cheese, or your favorite dip.

Notes

  • Patting wings dry before baking helps achieve extra crispiness.
  • Baking powder is key for a crispy texture without frying.
  • Adjust Old Bay to taste for a stronger or milder flavor.
  • Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 20–25 minutes for a quicker version.
  • Broil the wings for 2–3 minutes at the end for extra crunch.
  • Serve with lemon wedges for a bright, fresh touch.
