Nutella Crêpes are thin, delicate French-style pancakes filled with rich, creamy Nutella and optionally topped with fruit, whipped cream, or powdered sugar. Perfect for breakfast, brunch, or dessert, they’re quick to make and easy to customize.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tbsp melted butter (plus more for greasing)
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
  • 1/2 cup Nutella (or as needed for spreading)
  • Optional toppings: sliced bananas, strawberries, whipped cream, powdered sugar, chopped hazelnuts

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together flour and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk eggs, milk, water, melted butter, and vanilla (if using).
  3. Gradually add wet ingredients to the flour, whisking until smooth. Let batter rest for 20–30 minutes.
  4. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly butter it.
  5. Pour about 1/4 cup of batter into the pan and swirl to coat the bottom in a thin layer.
  6. Cook for 1–2 minutes until the edges lift and the bottom is golden. Flip and cook the other side for 30 seconds to 1 minute.
  7. Repeat with remaining batter, stacking crêpes with parchment between.
  8. Spread warm crêpes with Nutella, fold or roll as desired, and top with your favorite toppings. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Letting the batter rest improves texture and smoothness.
  • Use a blender for an extra-smooth batter if preferred.
  • Crêpes can be made ahead and stored or frozen for later use.
  • Nutella-filled crêpes are best served fresh and warm.
  • Use a non-stick or seasoned skillet to prevent sticking.
