Naan Pizza is an incredibly easy and delicious twist on traditional pizza. Using naan bread as the base, this recipe creates a crispy, fluffy pizza that’s ready in minutes. Perfect for busy nights, this dish offers a personal-sized pizza experience that’s both flavorful and customizable. With endless topping options and a simple preparation process, naan pizza is a quick and satisfying way to enjoy a pizza night at home.

Ingredients

  1. 2 naan bread (store-bought or homemade)
1/2 cup pizza sauce or marinara sauce
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup sliced pepperoni, sausage, or other meats (optional)
1/4 cup sliced bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, or other vegetables (optional)
    1 teaspoon dried oregano
    1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
    Olive oil (for drizzling)
    Fresh basil (optional, for garnish)
Red pepper flakes (optional, for added heat)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). If using a baking sheet, line it with parchment paper or a silicone mat.

  1. Place the naan bread on a baking sheet. Lightly drizzle or brush each naan with a bit of olive oil.
  2. Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce or marinara sauce over each naan, leaving a small border around the edges.
  3. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese generously over the sauce.
  4. Add your desired toppings—whether it’s pepperoni, sausage, veggies, or even a combo of your favorites.
  5. Sprinkle dried oregano and garlic powder over the top of the pizzas for extra flavor.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the naan is golden and crispy on the edges.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool for a minute. Garnish with fresh basil leaves and a sprinkle of red pepper flakes if desired.
  8. Slice and serve hot!

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, brush the naan with olive oil before adding toppings, and bake the pizzas directly on the oven rack instead of on a baking sheet.
  • Don’t overload the naan with too many toppings to ensure it crisps up well.
  • Feel free to use different cheeses like cheddar, gouda, or parmesan for a more indulgent pizza.
  • For a gluten-free option, use gluten-free naan bread.
