Mummy Flatbread Pizza Dippers are a spooky and fun Halloween twist on traditional pizza. Made with flatbread, marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese, and black olives for eyes, they’re quick to make, kid-friendly, and deliciously festive.

Ingredients

  • 2 flatbreads (such as naan or pita)
  • 1/2 cup marinara or pizza sauce
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese (shredded or cut into thin strips)
  • 12 black olive slices (for eyes)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (optional, for brushing)
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut flatbreads into rectangular strips, about 2 inches wide.
  3. Lightly brush each strip with olive oil if desired.
  4. Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on each strip.
  5. Arrange shredded or thin strips of mozzarella in a crisscross pattern to resemble mummy bandages, leaving room at the top for eyes.
  6. Place two olive slices near the top of each strip to form eyes.
  7. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning if using.
  8. Place strips on a baking sheet and bake for 8–10 minutes, or until cheese is melted and flatbread edges are lightly crisp.
  9. Let cool slightly and serve warm with extra marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • Use string cheese for defined ‘mummy bandages.’
  • Prep in advance and bake just before serving.
  • Swap marinara with pesto or Alfredo for a twist.
  • Add pepperoni, sausage, or veggies for more flavor.
  • Freeze unbaked for make-ahead convenience.
