This Miso Salmon recipe is the perfect blend of sweet, savory, and umami-rich flavors. Ingredients

4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)

1/4 cup white miso paste

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 teaspoon sesame oil

Optional garnishes: chopped green onions, sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together miso paste, soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, and sesame oil until smooth.

  2. Place salmon fillets in a shallow dish or zip-top bag and pour marinade over them. Coat evenly.

  3. Marinate in the refrigerator for 1 to 3 hours.

  4. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with foil or parchment.

  5. Remove salmon from marinade and place on the baking sheet.

  6. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until salmon flakes easily with a fork.

  7. (Optional) Broil for 1–2 minutes at the end for caramelization.

  8. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

  • Try red or yellow miso for different flavor intensities.

  • Add chili paste or minced garlic to the marinade for variety.

  • For a grilled version, cook salmon 4–5 minutes per side on a preheated grill.
