Mediterranean Chicken Patties are juicy, pan-seared patties made with ground chicken, feta cheese, herbs, and zesty lemon—perfect for wraps, salads, or grain bowls.

Ingredients

  1. 1 pound ground chicken
  2. 2 cloves garlic, minced
  3. 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
  4. 2 tablespoons fresh parsley or dill, chopped
  5. 1/3 cup crumbled feta cheese
  6. 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  7. 1 large egg
  8. 1/4 cup breadcrumbs or almond flour
  9. 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  10. 1/2 teaspoon salt
  11. 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  12. 2 tablespoons olive oil (for cooking)

Instructions

In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, garlic, red onion, parsley or dill, feta cheese, lemon zest, egg, breadcrumbs, oregano, salt, and pepper.

  1. Mix gently until all ingredients are well incorporated, being careful not to over-mix.
  2. Form the mixture into 4–6 evenly sized patties, about ½ inch thick.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  4. Cook the patties for 4–5 minutes per side, or until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  5. Let the patties rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  1. Use almond flour for a low-carb or gluten-free option.
  2. Chill the patties for 15 minutes before cooking to help them hold together better.
  3. Serve with tzatziki, hummus, or in pita for a full Mediterranean meal.
  4. Double the batch and freeze extra patties for meal prep.
