  • 4 oz cream cheese, cubed
  • ½ cup butter, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Spread the lemon pie filling evenly in the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  3. Scatter the cubed cream cheese over the lemon pie filling.
  4. Evenly sprinkle the yellow cake mix over the cream cheese, ensuring it covers the entire dish.
  5. Place the sliced butter evenly on top of the cake mix.
  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
  7. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Fruit Variations: Swap the lemon pie filling for other fruit pie fillings, like cherry, blueberry, or peach, for a different flavor profile.
  • Add-ins: For added texture, sprinkle chopped nuts, such as walnuts or pecans, over the cake mix before baking.
  • Cream Cheese Swirl: For a richer flavor, mix cream cheese with powdered sugar and vanilla extract before adding it to the pie filling.
