Italian Sliders are mini baked sandwiches layered with savory deli meats, melty cheese, and zesty toppings, all nestled in soft slider rolls and finished with a seasoned buttery glaze. Perfect for parties, potlucks, or easy weeknight meals.

Ingredients

  • 12 slider rolls or Hawaiian rolls
  • 1/2 lb sliced deli meats (salami, ham, pepperoni, capicola, or prosciutto)
  • 68 slices provolone or mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup banana peppers or roasted red peppers (optional)
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • Chopped fresh basil or parsley (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice slider rolls in half horizontally without separating them. Place the bottom half in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  3. Layer deli meats evenly over the bottom rolls.
  4. Add cheese slices over the meat, then layer banana or roasted red peppers, if using.
  5. Place the top half of the rolls on top.
  6. In a small saucepan, melt the butter and stir in Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and Dijon mustard.
  7. Brush the butter mixture over the tops of the rolls. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese if desired.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Uncover and bake for another 5 minutes until golden brown and cheese is melted.
  9. Slice and serve warm. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley if desired.

Notes

  • Assemble ahead and refrigerate; brush with butter topping just before baking.
  • Use your favorite deli meats and cheeses for custom flavor.
  • Don’t overload with wet ingredients to avoid soggy sliders.
  • Freeze leftovers individually for easy reheating later.
  • Pairs well with salad, pasta salad, or roasted veggies.
