Honey Mustard Dressing is a creamy, sweet, and tangy classic that adds bold flavor to salads, sandwiches, and marinades. This homemade version is fresh, balanced, and far better than store-bought options.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup (60 g) Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup (85 g) honey
  • 1/2 cup (120 g) mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar or lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the Dijon mustard, honey, and mayonnaise.
  2. Whisk until smooth and fully blended.
  3. Add the apple cider vinegar or lemon juice and whisk again.
  4. Slowly drizzle in the olive oil while whisking continuously to emulsify the dressing.
  5. Season with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder if using.
  6. Taste and adjust sweetness, tang, or seasoning as desired.
  7. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to use.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, substitute part or all of the mayonnaise with plain Greek yogurt.
  • Use whole grain mustard for added texture and a more robust flavor.
  • Add a pinch of smoked paprika or cayenne pepper for subtle heat.
  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
  • Shake or whisk before serving if separation occurs.
