Honey-Mustard Chicken Breasts are juicy, oven-baked chicken coated in a sweet and tangy honey-mustard glaze. This quick and flavorful dish is perfect for weeknights and made with just a few pantry staples.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon whole grain mustard (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Fresh rosemary or parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, Dijon mustard, whole grain mustard (if using), olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  3. Place chicken breasts in the baking dish and pour the honey-mustard mixture over them. Turn to coat evenly.
  4. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F / 74°C).
  5. Optional: Broil the last 2–3 minutes for a golden glaze.
  6. Let rest for 5 minutes. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired and serve.

Notes

  • Marinate chicken up to 24 hours in advance for deeper flavor.
  • Add lemon juice or apple cider vinegar to the sauce for extra tanginess.
  • Use chicken thighs for a juicier alternative.
  • Double the sauce for extra to serve over rice or veggies.
  • Grill option: Cook over medium heat for 6–7 minutes per side, brushing with glaze.
