Ingredients
2 cups roasted peanuts (unsalted or salted)
1 to 2 teaspoons neutral oil (optional)
1/4 teaspoon salt, or to taste
1 to 2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup (optional)
Instructions
Add the roasted peanuts to a food processor or high-powered blender.
Blend the peanuts, stopping occasionally to scrape down the sides.
The peanuts will turn from crumbs to a thick paste and eventually into a smooth, creamy butter (about 5 to 10 minutes).
Add oil if needed for a smoother consistency.
Mix in salt and optional honey or maple syrup to taste.
Continue blending until you reach your desired texture, smooth or slightly chunky.
Transfer to a clean jar or airtight container.
Notes
Peanuts release natural oils, so added oil is optional.
Blend longer for an extra smooth texture.
Stir before use if natural oil separation occurs.
Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.
Add cocoa powder or cinnamon for flavor variations.
