Homemade Boursin Cheese with Fresh Herbs is a creamy, herb-infused spread blended with garlic and lemon zest for bright, fresh flavor. This easy no-cook recipe is perfect for entertaining, snacking, or enhancing everyday dishes.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon zest

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese and butter. Beat until smooth and creamy.
  2. Add minced garlic, parsley, chives, thyme, dill, lemon zest, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
  4. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  5. Transfer mixture onto plastic wrap and shape into a log or press into a serving dish.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow flavors to meld and the cheese to firm up.
  7. Let sit at room temperature for 10–15 minutes before serving for best texture.

Notes

  • Substitute part of the cream cheese with Greek yogurt for a lighter texture.
  • Use dried herbs if needed, using one-third the amount of fresh herbs.
  • Add crushed red pepper flakes for subtle heat.
  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
  • Freezing is not recommended as texture may become grainy.
