A tropical twist on the classic margarita, the Hawaiian Margarita blends the sweetness of pineapple and coconut with the tangy lime and smooth tequila for an island-inspired drink.

Ingredients

  1. 2 oz tequila (silver or reposado)
  2. 1 oz lime juice (freshly squeezed)
  3. 1 oz pineapple juice
  4. ½ oz coconut cream
  5. ½ oz triple sec or orange liqueur
  6. Ice
  7. Pineapple slices and lime wedges (for garnish)
  8. Salt or sugar (for rimming the glass, optional)

Instructions

Start by rimming your glass with salt or sugar, depending on your preference. To do this, run a lime wedge around the rim of the glass, then dip it into a plate of salt or sugar.

  1. In a cocktail shaker, combine the tequila, freshly squeezed lime juice, pineapple juice, coconut cream, and triple sec.
  2. Fill the shaker with ice, cover, and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds to chill and combine the ingredients.
  3. Strain the mixture into the prepared glass, filled with fresh ice.
  4. Garnish with a slice of pineapple and a lime wedge for a tropical touch.
  5. Serve immediately and enjoy the island flavors!

Notes

  1. For a frozen version, blend the ingredients with ice.
  2. Spicy variation: Add a slice of jalapeño to the shaker for a spicy kick.
  3. For a lighter version, replace coconut cream with coconut milk or pineapple juice.
  4. For a non-alcoholic version, omit tequila and triple sec, using extra pineapple juice and coconut cream instead.
