Grilled Shrimp Tacos are a fresh, flavorful dish featuring juicy marinated shrimp grilled to perfection and served in warm tortillas with bright toppings like cabbage, avocado, and lime. Perfect for quick dinners, taco nights, or gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tsp lime zest
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 corn or flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage or lettuce
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • Fresh lime wedges
  • Optional toppings: salsa, pico de gallo, crema, pickled onions

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, lime juice, lime zest, garlic, chili powder, paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add shrimp and toss to coat evenly. Marinate for 10–15 minutes.
  3. Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.
  4. Thread shrimp onto skewers if desired, or grill directly or using a grill basket.
  5. Grill shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side, until pink and opaque. Remove from heat.
  6. Warm tortillas on the grill for about 30 seconds per side.
  7. To assemble, place shrimp in tortillas and top with cabbage, avocado, cilantro, and any other toppings you like.
  8. Serve with lime wedges and enjoy immediately.
