  • Feta cheese, crumbled (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, minced garlic, finely chopped red onion, parsley, oregano, lemon zest, olive oil, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Mix gently until the ingredients are evenly combined.
  3. Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape into burger patties.

  5. Heat a grill or skillet over medium heat.
  6. Cook the turkey patties for about 5–6 minutes per side until fully cooked and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  7. Lightly toast the hamburger buns if desired.
  8. Place the cooked turkey patty on the bottom half of each bun.
  9. Top with lettuce, sliced tomatoes, red onion, feta cheese if using, and a generous spoonful of tzatziki sauce.
  10. Cover with the top bun and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Mix crumbled feta cheese into the turkey mixture for extra Mediterranean flavor.
  • Pita bread or flatbread can be used instead of burger buns.
  • Serve the patties in lettuce wraps for a lower-carb option.
  • Add sliced cucumbers, olives, or roasted red peppers as toppings.
  • Turn the burgers into bowls by serving with rice, greens, and tzatziki sauce.
  • Store leftover patties in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
