Ginger Lemonade is a zesty and refreshing mocktail that combines the heat of fresh ginger with tangy lemon and a touch of sweetness. Perfect hot or cold, it’s a bold and revitalizing drink with natural health benefits.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons fresh ginger, peeled and sliced or grated
  • 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice (about 34 lemons)
  • 4 cups water (divided)
  • 23 tablespoons honey, agave, or sugar (to taste)
  • Ice
  • Optional garnish: lemon slices, mint leaves, ginger slices

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine the ginger with 1 cup of water. Bring to a simmer and steep for 5–10 minutes.
  2. Strain out the ginger and let the ginger-infused water cool.
  3. In a pitcher, mix the lemon juice, sweetener, and cooled ginger water.
  4. Add the remaining 3 cups of cold water and stir well.
  5. Taste and adjust lemon or sweetness as desired.
  6. Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices or fresh ginger.

Notes

  • For a stronger ginger flavor, steep longer or use more ginger.
  • Honey adds a warm, soothing flavor perfect for cold seasons.
  • Can be served warm for a comforting drink.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days and stir before serving.
