Garlic Prawn is a quick and flavorful seafood dish featuring tender prawns sautéed in buttery garlic sauce with a hint of lemon. Perfect for weeknights or elegant dinners, it delivers bold flavor in under 20 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound large prawns, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red chili flakes (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

  1. Pat the prawns dry with paper towels.
  2. Heat the butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the prawns in a single layer and cook for 2 to 3 minutes on one side until pink and slightly golden.
  5. Flip the prawns and cook for another 2 to 3 minutes until fully cooked and opaque.
  6. Season with salt, black pepper, and red chili flakes if using.
  7. Drizzle with fresh lemon juice and sprinkle chopped parsley over the top.
  8. Remove from heat and serve immediately with lemon wedges.

Notes

  • Avoid overcooking, as prawns can become tough and rubbery.
  • Add a splash of white wine after sautéing garlic for extra depth of flavor.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 2 days and reheat gently.
  • Do not overcrowd the pan to ensure proper searing.
