Garlic Parmesan Chicken features tender, juicy chicken coated in a garlic-butter mixture and crispy Parmesan-breadcrumb crust. Baked, pan-fried, or air-fried, this dish is packed with flavor and perfect for weeknight dinners or special meals.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) or heat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Flatten chicken to even thickness with a meat mallet.
  3. Melt butter in a small pan over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes. Remove from heat.
  4. In a shallow bowl, mix Parmesan, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  5. Dip each chicken piece in garlic butter, then coat in the Parmesan mixture.
  6. For baking: Place coated chicken on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden and cooked through (165°F internal temp).
  7. For skillet: Heat olive oil and cook chicken 4–5 minutes per side until golden and fully cooked.
  8. Let rest a few minutes, garnish with parsley, and serve.

Notes

  • Use almond flour or crushed pork rinds for a low-carb version.
  • Air fry at 375°F for 15 minutes, flipping halfway.
  • Add cayenne or red pepper flakes for heat.
  • Top with extra Parmesan or mozzarella before baking for cheesy finish.
  • Reheat in oven or air fryer to maintain crispiness.
