Garlic Chicken Skillet is a simple, flavorful one-pan dish featuring juicy chicken cooked in a savory garlic sauce. Perfect for a quick weeknight dinner, this recipe combines tender chicken with a rich garlic-lemon sauce.

Ingredients

  1. 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
    2 tablespoons olive oil
    6 cloves garlic, minced
    1/2 cup chicken broth
    1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon dried thyme or rosemary
    Optional: chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

Season chicken with salt and pepper on both sides.

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add chicken and cook for 5-6 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove chicken and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and lemon juice, scraping up any browned bits from the pan.
  5. Stir in thyme or rosemary and simmer for 3-4 minutes until sauce reduces slightly.
  6. Return chicken to the skillet and spoon sauce over it.
  7. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to heat through.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

  1. Add sliced mushrooms or spinach to the skillet.
  2. Use white wine instead of chicken broth for deeper flavor.
  3. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese before serving.
  4. Add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
  5. Serve over mashed potatoes, pasta, or quinoa.
