Garlic Cheese Balls are fluffy, cheesy bites packed with garlic flavor and melty cheese. These quick and easy snacks are golden on the outside and gooey on the inside—perfect as a side, appetizer, or party favorite.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • ¾ cup milk or buttermilk
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced (or 1 tsp garlic paste)
  • Chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
  • Extra melted butter and Parmesan for topping (optional)
  • Marinara or dipping sauce (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Stir in mozzarella and Parmesan cheese until evenly distributed.
  4. Add melted butter, minced garlic, and milk. Mix until a soft dough forms.
  5. Roll into 1 to 1½ inch balls and place on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Brush with extra melted butter and sprinkle with Parmesan, if desired.
  7. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until golden and puffed.
  8. Garnish with parsley and serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • For an extra gooey center, stuff each ball with a cube of cheese before baking.
  • Do not overmix the dough to keep the balls light and tender.
  • Air fry at 375°F for 8–10 minutes as an alternative to baking.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container and reheat in the oven or air fryer for best texture.
