Garlic Butter Steak Bites are tender, juicy cubes of steak seared to perfection and tossed in a rich, buttery garlic sauce. Ready in just 20 minutes, this dish is perfect for a quick dinner, appetizer, or indulgent meal that’s full of flavor and easy to make.

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ pounds sirloin steak (or ribeye, tenderloin, or New York strip), cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or avocado oil
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • Optional: pinch of crushed red pepper flakes or a squeeze of lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Pat the steak cubes dry with paper towels and season generously with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the steak bites in a single layer (cook in batches if needed). Sear for 2–3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  4. Reduce heat to medium and add butter to the skillet. Once melted, stir in the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds, until fragrant.
  5. Return steak bites to the pan and toss to coat them evenly in the garlic butter sauce.
  6. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve immediately, adding red pepper flakes or lemon juice if desired.

Notes

  • Use a hot pan and avoid overcrowding to achieve a perfect sear.
  • For best results, let the steak come to room temperature before cooking.
  • Adjust garlic and butter quantities to taste.
  • Pairs beautifully with mashed potatoes, rice, or roasted veggies.
