Fruit Salsa is a refreshing blend of sweet and tangy fruits, fresh herbs, and a hint of spice, perfect for summer gatherings or as a healthy snack. It’s a versatile dish that pairs beautifully with crispy cinnamon chips, grilled meats, or tacos.

Ingredients

  1. 1 cup strawberries, diced
    1 cup mango, diced
1/2 cup red bell pepper, finely diced
    1/2 cup cucumber, diced
1/4 cup red onion, finely diced
    2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped
    1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
1 tablespoon honey (optional, for extra sweetness)
1 small jalapeño pepper, deseeded and finely chopped (optional, for a spicy kick)
    Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Prepare the Fruits and Vegetables: Dice the strawberries, mango, red bell pepper, cucumber, and red onion into small, uniform pieces.

  1. Mix the Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the diced fruits, red bell pepper, cucumber, red onion, and cilantro. Stir to combine.
  2. Add Lime and Sweetener: Add the fresh lime juice to the mixture and stir. If you like a touch of sweetness, drizzle in some honey and mix well.
  3. Add Spice: If you want a little heat, include the finely chopped jalapeño pepper. Stir to combine.
  4. Season: Taste and adjust with salt, pepper, lime juice, or honey as needed.
  5. Chill: For the best flavor, cover the salsa and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving. This allows the flavors to meld together.

Notes

  • For a tropical twist, swap mango for pineapple or add shredded coconut.
  • If you prefer a milder salsa, omit the jalapeño pepper.
  • This salsa is best enjoyed fresh, but it can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days in the refrigerator.
