Ingredients
2 pounds fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup sour cream or Mexican crema
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
Wash, hull, and slice the strawberries into halves or quarters depending on size.
Place the sliced strawberries into a large serving bowl.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, sweetened condensed milk, sour cream or crema, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Pour the cream mixture over the strawberries.
Gently stir until all strawberries are evenly coated.
Chill for at least 15 minutes before serving for best flavor.
Notes
Use ripe but firm strawberries for the best texture.
Adjust the condensed milk to control sweetness.
