Ingredients

For the Casserole:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) French onion soup
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

. Cook the Ground Beef:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain excess fat.

2. Caramelize the Onions:

  1. Add sliced onions to the skillet with the beef.
  2. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the onions are soft and caramelized.

3. Combine Ingredients:

  1. Stir in garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Pour in French onion soup and simmer for 2-3 minutes to blend the flavors.
