French Dip Sliders are mini sandwiches layered with tender roast beef, melted provolone cheese, and soft slider rolls, baked to golden perfection and served with warm au jus for dipping. A savory, crowd-pleasing appetizer or meal.

Ingredients

  • 12 slider rolls or Hawaiian rolls
  • 1 lb deli roast beef, thinly sliced
  • 68 slices provolone cheese
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tsp dried parsley (optional)
  • 1 1/2 cups beef broth (for au jus)
  • 12 tsp Worcestershire sauce (for au jus)
  • Optional: horseradish sauce or caramelized onions for extra flavor

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice slider rolls in half horizontally and place the bottom half in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  3. Layer roast beef evenly over the bottom rolls, then top with provolone cheese slices.
  4. Place the top half of the rolls over the cheese.
  5. In a small saucepan, melt butter and stir in garlic powder, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, and parsley.
  6. Brush the seasoned butter mixture over the tops of the rolls.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Uncover and bake for another 5 minutes until tops are golden and cheese is melted.
  8. While sliders bake, combine beef broth and Worcestershire sauce in a saucepan. Heat until hot (do not boil).
  9. Cut sliders into individual portions and serve warm with au jus for dipping.

Notes

  • Use cheese slices as a moisture barrier to keep rolls from getting soggy.
  • Assemble ahead and refrigerate—bake just before serving.
  • Add caramelized onions or horseradish for extra flavor.
  • Double the recipe for a crowd using two pans.
  • Au jus can be enhanced with garlic or onion for deeper flavor.
