Easy Slow Cooker Angel Chicken Pasta is a creamy and comforting dish made with tender shredded chicken, a rich sauce, and delicate angel hair pasta. Perfect for busy weeknights with minimal prep and maximum flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 to 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 8 oz cream cheese, cubed
  • 1 packet dry Italian dressing mix
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 12 oz angel hair pasta
  • Optional garnish: chopped parsley, grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. In the slow cooker, whisk together cream of chicken soup, cubed cream cheese, chicken broth, Italian dressing mix, and butter.
  2. Add the chicken to the sauce mixture, spooning some sauce over the top.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 5–6 hours or on high for 3–4 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
  4. Remove the chicken and shred it using two forks. Return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker and stir to combine.
  5. Cook the angel hair pasta according to package instructions just before serving.
  6. Add the cooked pasta to the slow cooker and toss to coat in the creamy sauce.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley or grated Parmesan if desired.

Notes

  • Add red pepper flakes or hot sauce for a spicy kick.
  • Stir in sautéed mushrooms for extra flavor.
  • Add shredded mozzarella or Parmesan cheese for a cheesier sauce.
  • Use zucchini noodles or steamed cauliflower for a low-carb version.
  • Add frozen peas, spinach, or broccoli during the last 30 minutes of cooking for more veggies.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days; reheat with a splash of broth or milk.
  • Do not freeze with pasta mixed in, as it may turn mushy—freeze only the chicken and sauce if needed.
