Easy Nashville hot chicken dip is a creamy, cheesy, and spicy appetizer inspired by classic Nashville hot chicken. Packed with shredded chicken, bold hot sauce, and melted cheeses, it’s perfect for parties, game day, or any spicy craving.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/3 cup hot sauce (cayenne-based or Nashville hot sauce)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Pickle chips (optional, for garnish)
  • 2 tablespoons sliced green onions (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix cream cheese, sour cream, hot sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper until smooth.
  3. Stir in shredded chicken, cheddar cheese, and mozzarella until well combined.
  4. Spread the mixture evenly into a greased baking dish.
  5. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until hot, bubbly, and lightly golden on top.
  6. Remove from oven, garnish with pickle chips and green onions if desired, and serve warm.

  • Adjust hot sauce and cayenne to control the spice level.
  • Rotisserie chicken works great and saves time.
