Easy Grilled Cola Burgers are juicy, flavorful patties made with a sweet and savory cola-infused mix, perfect for a fun twist on the classic backyard burger.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/4 cup cola (regular, not diet)
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 cheese slices (optional)
  • Lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions (optional toppings)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, cola, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Gently mix until just combined. Do not overwork the meat.
  3. Shape the mixture into 4 equal burger patties.
  4. Preheat grill to medium-high heat and oil the grates lightly.
  5. Grill patties for 4–5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness.
  6. During the last minute of cooking, add cheese slices if using and toast the hamburger buns on the grill.
  7. Assemble burgers with desired toppings and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use ground chuck (80/20) for juicy burgers.
  • Do not use diet cola—regular cola adds sweetness and caramelization.
  • Patties can be shaped ahead and stored in the fridge for up to 24 hours before grilling.
  • Chill patties before grilling to help them hold their shape.
  • Can be cooked on stovetop if grill is unavailable.
