Easy Chicken Alfredo Pasta is a rich, creamy dish made with tender chicken, fettuccine, and a homemade Alfredo sauce of butter, cream, and Parmesan. It’s a comforting and satisfying meal that comes together in just 30 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter
  • 8 oz fettuccine or pasta of choice
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Heat olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook for 5–6 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and let rest, then slice.
  4. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Melt the butter and add minced garlic. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  6. Stir in Parmesan cheese and cook for 2–3 minutes, whisking until the sauce is smooth and slightly thickened.
  7. Add cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to coat evenly. Return sliced chicken to the pan and stir to combine.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve hot.

Notes

  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for the smoothest sauce.
  • Add vegetables like broccoli or spinach for extra nutrition.
  • Use shrimp instead of chicken for a seafood variation.
  • To reheat, add a splash of milk or cream to loosen the sauce.
  • Not suitable for freezing, as the sauce may separate.
