  9. 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef or sausage with diced onion until browned. Drain excess grease.

  2. Stir in marinara sauce and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Spray the inside of your slow cooker with nonstick spray.
  4. Spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom of the slow cooker.
  5. Add a single layer of frozen ravioli over the sauce.
  6. Spread a layer of meat sauce over the ravioli.
  7. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the sauce. Add small dollops of ricotta if using.
  8. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, ending with sauce and cheese on top.
  9. Cover and cook on low for 4–6 hours or high for 2–3 hours, until the ravioli is tender and cheese is melted.
  10. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  1. Use fresh ravioli if desired—reduce cooking time slightly.
  2. Add vegetables like spinach or zucchini to the meat sauce for extra nutrition.
  3. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
  4. Thick pasta sauce prevents the lasagna from becoming watery.
  5. Assemble the dish ahead of time and refrigerate overnight before cooking.
