This is the perfect dish for any occasion!

Ingredients

3 pounds Russet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-inch chunks

1 cup chicken broth (or vegetable broth for a vegetarian option)

1/2 cup unsalted butter

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup milk

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Peel and cut the potatoes into 1-inch chunks.

  • Place the potatoes in the slow cooker, add chicken broth, and dot with butter. Cover and cook on high for 4-5 hours, or until the potatoes are fork-tender.

  • Drain any excess broth. Add cream cheese, milk, salt, and pepper to the potatoes. Mash until smooth and creamy.

  • Keep the mashed potatoes warm in the slow cooker until ready to serve.

Notes

  • For garlic mashed potatoes, add minced garlic before cooking.

  • For a cheesy twist, stir in shredded cheddar or Parmesan cheese after mashing.

  • Add fresh herbs like chives or parsley for extra freshness and color.

  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. Reheat in the microwave, oven, or slow cooker with a bit of milk and butter for creaminess.
