Ingredients
1 can (5 oz) tuna, drained
4 oz cream cheese, softened
2 tbsp mayonnaise
1 tsp lemon juice
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp onion powder
Salt to taste
Black pepper to taste
Optional: 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley or dill
Optional: 1 tbsp finely diced pickles or capers
Optional: hot sauce, to taste
Instructions
In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese and mayonnaise. Beat until smooth and creamy.
Add the drained tuna and mix until well combined, breaking up any large chunks.
Stir in lemon juice, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
Mix in any optional ingredients such as herbs, pickles, or hot sauce, if desired.
Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld.
Serve chilled with crackers, vegetables, or toasted bread slices.
Notes
Use tuna in oil for a richer flavor, or in water for a lighter version.
Adjust the mayo or add a splash of milk to make the dip more spreadable.
Pulse in a food processor for a smoother texture if desired.
Do not leave the dip out for more than 2 hours at room temperature.
