Creamy Beef and Shells is a hearty, comforting pasta dish made with tender pasta shells coated in a rich, cheesy, and creamy beef-tomato sauce. It’s a simple, family-friendly meal that comes together quickly and delivers big flavor every time.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz medium pasta shells
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta shells in salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onion and cook until translucent.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
  5. Stir in tomato sauce, tomato paste, beef broth, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer gently for 5–7 minutes.
  6. Reduce heat to low, then stir in the heavy cream until combined and creamy.
  7. Add the cooked pasta and shredded cheese, stirring until the cheese melts and the sauce coats the pasta evenly.
  8. Simmer for a few more minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  9. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.
