This easy one-pan meal is ready in just 45 minutes, making it a perfect choice for busy weeknights or comforting family dinners.

Ingredients

For the Chicken:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

For the Creamy Sauce:

  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
  • Season the Chicken: Sprinkle both sides of the chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
  • Sear the Chicken: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken and sear for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  • Prepare the Sauce: In the same skillet, pour in the chicken broth and add the softened cream cheese. Whisk continuously until smooth and creamy. Stir in the grated Parmesan and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes. Adjust seasoning if needed.
  • Bake: Place the seared chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish. Pour the creamy sauce over the chicken, ensuring each piece is well-coated. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • Serve: Let the chicken rest for a few minutes after baking. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm with your favorite side dishes.

Notes

  • Use boneless, skinless chicken thighs for a juicier texture.
  • For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes or a pinch of cayenne pepper.
  • Add sautéed mushrooms or spinach to the sauce for extra flavor and nutrition.
  • Avoid overheating the sauce to prevent curdling.
