Cranberry Whipped Feta Dip is a creamy, tangy, and slightly sweet appetizer made with whipped feta, cream cheese, and Greek yogurt, topped with bright cranberry sauce and optional nuts or herbs. It’s perfect for holidays, parties, or any time you need a quick, festive dish that looks as good as it tastes.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz feta cheese (block style, not crumbled)
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt or sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice or zest
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce (homemade or canned, whole-berry style)
  • Fresh rosemary or thyme (optional for garnish)
  • 2 tablespoons crushed pistachios or walnuts (optional)
  • Crackers, pita chips, or crostini for serving

Instructions

  1. In a food processor or blender, combine feta cheese, cream cheese, Greek yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, and honey.
  2. Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed. Adjust consistency with more yogurt or olive oil if desired.
  3. Spoon the whipped feta mixture into a shallow serving bowl.
  4. Warm the cranberry sauce slightly until spreadable, then spoon it over the whipped feta.
  5. Garnish with fresh rosemary, thyme, or crushed pistachios for color and crunch.
  6. Serve immediately with pita chips, crostini, or crackers.

Notes

  • Use block feta packed in brine for the creamiest texture.
  • Make the whipped feta ahead of time and add the cranberry topping before serving.
  • Try different toppings like pomegranate arils or chopped nuts for variety.
  • Serve slightly chilled or at room temperature for best texture.
