Ingredients
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup sour cream
1 (1 oz) packet ranch seasoning mix
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons green onions, sliced (optional for garnish)
Instructions
In a medium bowl, combine softened cream cheese and sour cream. Mix until smooth and creamy.
Add the ranch seasoning mix and stir until evenly incorporated.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld.
Before serving, garnish with green onions crumbles if desired.
Serve with potato chips, pretzels, crackers, or fresh vegetables.
Optional baked version: Transfer to a small baking dish, top with extra cheddar, and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15–20 minutes until hot and bubbly.
Notes
For best flavor, chill for at least an hour before serving.
Serve hot or cold depending on preference.
Substitute sour cream with Greek yogurt for a lighter version.
Avoid freezing as it may alter the creamy texture.
