Crack Burgers are juicy, ranch-seasoned beef patties stuffed with cheddar cheese, then topped with your favorite fixings. Bold, cheesy, and irresistibly flavorful, they’re perfect for grilling or skillet cooking.

Ingredients

  1. 1 1/2 lbs ground beef (80/20 recommended)
  2. 2 tbsp ranch seasoning mix
  3. 1 tsp garlic powder
  4. 1 tsp onion powder
  5. 1/2 tsp black pepper
  6. 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  7. 4 burger buns
  8. Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, pickles, red onion, sliced cheese
  9. Optional sauce: ranch dressing, mayo, or spicy aioli

Instructions

In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ranch seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, shredded cheddar,  Mix gently until just combined.

  1. Form into 4 patties, pressing a small indentation in the center of each.
  2. Preheat a grill, grill pan, or skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Cook patties 4–5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness.
  4. In the last minute, add cheese slices if desired and toast buns.
  5. Assemble burgers with toppings and sauce of choice. Serve hot.

Notes

  1. Use 80/20 beef for juicier burgers; leaner blends may be drier.
  2. Pressing an indentation in the patties helps prevent shrinking.
  3. Make sliders by using smaller buns and forming mini patties.
  4. For extra spice, mix in diced jalapeños or use pepper jack cheese.
  5. Form patties ahead and refrigerate up to 24 hours before cooking.
