Crab Rangoon pizza is a creative fusion dish featuring a creamy garlic-infused cream cheese base, tender crab meat, melted mozzarella, and a drizzle of sweet chili sauce over a crispy crust. It delivers a perfect balance of creamy, savory, and slightly sweet flavors in every bite.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound pizza dough
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 cup lump crab meat, drained and picked over
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: red pepper flakes, sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and lightly grease a pizza pan or baking sheet.
  2. In a bowl, mix softened cream cheese, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
  3. Roll out pizza dough to desired shape and place on prepared pan. Brush edges lightly with olive oil.
  4. Spread cream cheese mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a small border.
  5. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella over the cream cheese base.
  6. Evenly distribute crab meat across the pizza.
  7. Top with remaining mozzarella cheese.
  8. Bake for 12–15 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Remove from oven and drizzle with sweet chili sauce.
  10. Garnish with green onions and optional toppings, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Drain crab thoroughly to prevent a soggy crust.
  • Use lump crab for best texture, but imitation crab works as a substitute.
  • Avoid overloading with cream cheese mixture.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
  • Freezing is not recommended due to the cream cheese base.
