Cowboy Cream Cheese Spread is a quick, no-cook appetizer featuring a base of cream cheese topped with sweet-spicy pepper jelly, crispy bacon, and fresh green onions—perfect for crackers, chips, or veggies.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese (block-style), softened
  • 1/2 cup jalapeño jelly or red pepper jelly
  • 4 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 2 tbsp chopped green onions
  • Optional: 2 tbsp chopped pickled or fresh jalapeños
  • Optional: 1/4 cup shredded cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese
  • Crackers, tortilla chips, or crostini for serving

Instructions

Place softened cream cheese on a serving platter or spread into a shallow dish.

  1. Spoon jalapeño or red pepper jelly evenly over the cream cheese.
  2. Sprinkle crumbled bacon on top.
  3. Add chopped green onions and optional diced jalapeños or shredded cheese.
  4. Serve immediately with crackers, chips, or crostini, or chill for 15–30 minutes for a firmer texture.
  5. For a blended dip version, mix all ingredients in a bowl until combined, then serve.

Notes

  1. Use whipped cream cheese for easier spreading.
  2. Hot honey drizzle adds extra sweet-spicy depth.
