Cinnamon Sugar Fries are a sweet twist on classic fries, coated in a warm cinnamon-sugar blend and drizzled with butter. Perfect for dessert or a snack, they’re crispy, cozy, and kid-friendly.

Ingredients

  • 4 large Russet potatoes or 1 bag frozen French fries
  • Vegetable oil (for frying or baking)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • Optional toppings: powdered sugar, chocolate sauce, caramel sauce, whipped cream

Instructions

  1. Wash and peel (optional) the potatoes. Cut into sticks and soak in cold water for 30 minutes. Drain and pat dry.
  2. Fry potatoes at 300°F (150°C) for 4–5 minutes, remove and rest. Increase oil to 375°F (190°C) and fry again for 2–3 minutes until golden and crispy. Alternatively, bake at 425°F (220°C) for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway. Use frozen fries if desired and cook until crisp.
  3. In a bowl, mix the granulated sugar and cinnamon until well combined.
  4. While fries are hot, drizzle with melted butter and toss gently.
  5. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over the fries and toss again until evenly coated.
  6. Serve immediately with optional toppings or dipping sauces.

Notes

  • Coat fries with butter while hot to help cinnamon sugar stick.
  • Sweet potato fries add natural sweetness and flavor.
  • Use crinkle-cut fries for a churro-like texture.
  • Serve with chocolate or caramel sauce for dipping.
  • Reheat in the oven to maintain crispiness.
