Cinnamon Maple Roasted Sweet Potatoes are a cozy, flavorful side dish made with tender sweet potato cubes tossed in maple syrup, cinnamon, and a touch of salt, then roasted to golden perfection. Perfect for holidays, meal prep, or weeknight dinners.

Ingredients

  • 2 large sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 2 tbsp pure maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • Optional: pinch of nutmeg or cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, toss sweet potato cubes with olive oil or melted butter, maple syrup, cinnamon, salt, and optional nutmeg or cayenne.
  3. Spread the sweet potatoes in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Roast for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until tender and golden on the edges.
  5. Serve warm as a side dish or over salads and grain bowls.

Notes

  • Don’t overcrowd the pan—spread sweet potatoes in a single layer for best browning.
  • Use parchment paper for easy cleanup and to prevent sticking.
  • Add chopped pecans during the last 10 minutes for a crunchy twist.
  • Leftovers are great in salads or breakfast bowls.
  • Orange-fleshed varieties like Garnet or Jewel work best for flavor and color.
